This image of the market rasen train station shows the unique colour contrast which i am hoping on using towards my own digipak. Due to copyright i was not unable to use this image for my front cover digipak although i admired the simplicity yet dynamic effect of the image. This technique has influenced me to now use a colour scheme effect similar to this image for my digipak.
Our first ideas were to focus on the image of the front cover for the image base of the digipak we all have different aspects of what we wanted. For example: for my view on how I wanted the front cover to be would be of all four artist sitting on the bench of the market rasen train station and placed in the left side of the image to allow thinking space and in my opinion a unique way to make the artist stand out which in my views works well however my partners had their doubts and explained how this did not have a strong enough approach to the audience and not as eye catching as some other ideas to be the front cover.
For each of our ideas we were thinking of using this one as mainly the front of our cover partly due to the all four band members that will be used in the shot. The reason why I chose to use the effect of the single name to come from small to large is most importantly to create it to stand out from others which in effect would hopefully encourage people to look at the name in more depth so they can think and maybe ask themselves that question of where is the love.
For this idea we decided to create a mirror like effect for the four band members. The reason for this is because the four band members are reflecting on themselves and what or who they see when they look in the mirror. With my character the reflective is of the thief because it portrays his emotional involvement of the situation and feel like that the thief is all that he sees in him and not himself. Again we discussed where about this idea might be most suitable and we all agreed on the front cover; although we were sceptical whether or not people would understand the meaning of this idea therefore will are still debating on whether to use it at all.
For our third idea yet again we discussed and agreed for a long period of time that this idea would be acceptable for the front cover of our digipak. Our idea portrays the four band members standing whilst the main performer and character of the video stand in front of the other mainly to promote him as an individual and to indicate his leadership towards the band. We thought that the band name and the single name should be on both sides of the wall with a Photoshop effect to merge the text within the walls. We weren't sure on the specific type of font but we had a brief outlook that it should be graffiti style to relate to the authenticity of the music video and the urban settings
