In order for us to compress our footage together we have been using the software "Adobe Premiere Pro C4". This editing software enables us to shoot footage on our video camera and then transfer it to the computer with ease and cut and place together the footage we want.
We firstly compressed our footage onto a timeline; the timeline panel is where the basis structure our video footage is shown on. By dragging items from the project panel or source monitor and placing them in the desired order, we were able to create a sequence of clips and events which play in the timeline from left to right.
In the timeline panel, we are able to achieve:
· Adjust edit points, making clips shorter or longer, or stretch them over time.
· Create multiple layers of video, e.g. titles, superimposed images, etc.
· Create multiple layers of audio, e.g. voice-overs, music, etc.
· Add transitions, filters, special effects, etc.

Below are some screenshots of our work on the software and how it has developed.
This was the first piece of film footage that we decided to edit and compress. By doing this we were able to construct a basis for the rest of the footage to build on.
as we wanted to create a sense of realism within the urban environment, we had to set the impression of realisation within the video in order for it to be successful and to catch the audience`s attention. We achieved this by using very adjacent shots in order for the audience to feel involved with the sequences thus hopefully noticing more the realisation of the piece.
This footage of the traffic in Lincoln city we took was effectively as it is, however to wanted to achieve a feeling of passing of time from looking at this shot, which meant we had to increase the pace of the traffic. Therefore we used the duration tool to visibly change our footage. This allowed us to effectively change the speed of our footage to either a faster or slower paced. We chose to use this effect to indicate in our video the passing of time which suited well with the fast tempo of our music song. We increased it to 3000% which effectively gave us the appropriate speed we initially wanted.
