update on filming, 7th November 2011

During the end of the week, I had fallout with my work partner tom. this made me realise how important this music video meant to me and regardless whether I was friends with him or not, I felt that whilst working with him on a regular basis, i could not achieve what I anticipated and was unable to get the filming done at a high level standard due to lack or determination towards the video. Because of this I decided to separate myself from the group to not only let all of the problems to settle and calm, but to test each of our ability to see what we can achieve on our own. That following weekend I and my brother Aaron (my other work partner) filmed just over 2 hours of footage which we were very pleased with. I felt that the weekend of footage was perhaps the best sessions we have done yet partly because myself and Aaron allowed our ideas to flow and enjoy the improvised creativity. The shots that we produced over that weekend were of narrative shot which included going to a bonfire night and fireworks display near Horncastle where we filmed reaction shot of the main character watching the fireworks and shots of the bonfire lighting up.

The following day we filming more narrative shots of events occuring and a beautiful sunset shot which lasted around 40minutes. I decided to record some of the sunset using only handheld shot, and this is the outcome:

I have accepted now that any issues had to be forgotten if we are to continue on the production, so therefore I joined back with the group and we all came up with some brilliant ideas towards the creation of our digipak. I plan to carry on with the rest of the filming procces either on my own or with my brother as i feel personally and honestly we can achieve our full potenial easier and complete the rest of filming at a much faster pace.
