Today we filmed a large majority of the footage we intended to film over the next few days. This included finalising a few retakes of Tom’s performance shots; retake some of the event in Lincoln, and some solo performance shots of myself.
We started off by shooting the performance shots of tom in the media studio room which was where we filmed him previously. we noticed that we used quite still mid shots and close up for his performance and we thought it needed to be more creative if the whole of his solo performance sequence were going to take place in the studio. We experimented with different high angle, low angle shots, panning shots, and zoom-in and zoom-out shots of the artist.
This image is one of the type of shots we decided to finalise into our video:
That following lunchtime, myself and group members Tom and Aaron went to various locations in market rasen where there was clear background image of urbanisation.
With this shot,we went to an estate in market rasen to shot this performance shot. We added a hand held effect to empathise the stress and passion the character was giving off.
This still shot of my performance was taken within the school grounds and we managed to find some graffiti on the wall captured the urban environment and realism of what the urban surroundings we live in look like.
We took a high angle shot of myself to stress the importance I was sending across to the audience. We also allowed thinking space for the character to reflective on the message.
